Climate Change? How About Health?
- The climate change argument against fossil fuels has not been successful. Canadians are not willing to pay much for carbon remediation and there is no budget for paying for new infrastructure.
- The health science argument is sound. Internal combustion engines exhaust toxic gasses that make people in cities sick. As they realize this, they will move towards cleaner cars. We should invest in clean infrastructure and be ready when the market shifts to an electric era for transportation. When electric vehicles become cheaper than gasoline ones, they will sell. We will get our clean environment then! We need to be ready for that. It will be a large industry.
- We will sell fuel now to grow the economy and pay for the green transition and Government services. We will impose carbon taxes on foreigners, not Canadians. Hydrogen is the only clean burning fuel and as the clean economy develops oil will not be burned into the atmosphere but will be used for manufacturing. Everyone benefits. This is how to get to a clean economy. Tax foreigners, not Canadians. Sell oil and gas now to pay for the transition. Build new clean industry infrastructure to power the future.
